These are 5 samples of host scripts I wrote for recorded, live broadcast, and live in-person events. I directed or co-directed talent for these projects.
Playful and Punchy
This excerpt from the pre-recorded Google Cloud SKO, “Building Beyond,” was a part of the metaverse experience for this virtual conference. The host served as the attendee guide throughout the event, and needed to capture the playfulness of the Google brand.
Game-Show Glitz
The Tableau user conference is home to the annual “Iron Viz” show, an in-person world-wide contest where contestants compete in IRT data visualization with an “Iron Chef”-inspired theme. Tableau always uses employees as hosts!

Remote Repartee
This live broadcast host script was created for Tableau’s regional sales kickoff. Filmed during the pandemic, this pair of hosts had to banter, play, and gel together while filming from their separate living rooms!
Purposeful and Passionate
These excerpts come from the in-person membership conference for Anitab.org nonprofit, which supports women and nonbinary people in tech fields. The executive speeches needed to be both urgent and uplifting.
Polished and Professional
These are excerpts of two different executive speeches from a simulive SKO broadcast for the procurement product of a large corporation. The voice and tone had to match each executive’s unique personality. One was comfortable with adlib, the other needed a word-for-word script.
Customized Flair
This script was written for an executive to deliver at the annual company kickoff of a tax compliance company. This executive needed to land her message, in her own voice. I drew on her former career as a softball pitcher to achieve this balance.
